Skinmimics®

Skinmimics® is a high-tech Ceramide complex that provides skin protection, prevention and regeneration. It is a skin-identical composition made up of specific long-chain ceramides, vegetable derived cholesterol and free fatty acid. This composition is combined with unique signaling molecules (Sphingokines®).

In vitro and in vivo studies have shown that Skinmimics displays a 3-in-1 benefit, especially on mature skin. It could be shown that Skinmimics significantly replenishes skin’s own protective barrier. Furthermore, this active is able to revitalize normal to dry skin by improving the skin's epidermal moisturizing system.

Humectants (hydrators and moisture retainers) 

Hyaluronic Acid

A key molecule involved in skin regulating the water balance of the dermis and stabilizing skin structures. It has a unique capacity in retaining 1000 times its own weight in water. This allows it to replenish the moisture levels in the skin making it look soft and smooth. It also signals the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, boosts elasticity and reduces scarring.

Unimoist U-125 G

INCI: Glycerin, Urea, Saccharide Hydrolysate , Magnesium Aspartate , Glycine , Alanine , Creatine

Comprised of several essential amino acids, urea and magnesium, this complex acts as a moisturizing agent. It is a complete combination of active substances which are very similar to those of the natural moisturizing factor (NMF) naturally present within the skin. It brings about a normalization of the water content of the epidermis, thus producing an improvement in suppleness and elasticity and at the same time preventing premature ageing of the skin.

Lactic acid

A gentle chemical exfoliant in the group known as alpha-hydroxy acids or AHA’s, which work to remove dead skin cells and hydrate the skin. It helps to minimize acne breakouts, brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Glycerin

Glycerin moisturises the skin by drawing water from the air into the skin’s outer layer. It forms a protective layer on the skin that helps prevent the loss of moisture.

Leucidal® Liquid

INCI: Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate

An antimicrobial peptide produced from the fermentation of lactic acid bacteria Leuconostoc Kimichii. It is a moisturizing ingredient and is used as a natural preservative in all Eunoia products as it acidifies its environment and through the production of an antimicrobial peptide that it produces as a defense mechanism. It retains the effectiveness of the formula and allows for the elimination of traditional preservatives that may disrupt the microbiome and cause sensitivity.

A skin moisturization study was performed with results showing the addition of the leucidial provided a 10% increase in moisturization.

Microbiome Regulating Ingredients 

Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate 

A nutrient-dense byproduct of the fermentation process using the Galactomycess candidus yeast, that is rich in viatamins and amino acids. It works at a cellular level by increasing the absorption ability of the skin. 

It has anti-aging properties to improve elasticity and revitalise and plump up the skin. It also brightens the skin, reduces irritation, minimizes pore size and controls sebum production.

Ecoskin®

INCI: Alpha-glucan oligosaccharide; Polymnia sonchifolia (Yacón) root juice; Maltodextrin; Lactobacillus

Ecoskin® is a pre/probiotic complex that acts as a radiance promoter. It made of the prebiotic ingredients α-glucooligosaccharides (GOS), fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and lactobacillus probiotic bacteria, (L. casei and L, acidophilus). It promotes the balance of the skin microbiota by acting as a substrate for commensal bacteria and strengthening the natural defense of the skin. 

Evaluated against placebo, on a panel of subjects with very dry skin, Ecoskin® enhances the skin’s radiance by reducing the average depth of the micro-furrows, restructuring the skin, while nourishing it and reducing feelings of discomfort. 

BIOME Oléoactif®

INCI: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil , Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil , Bacillus Ferment

Is a fermentation-derived active that is produced by capturing rare lipids from a wild extremophile microorganism then offering them to the skin and its microbiota. It acts as a prebiotic and can regulate the skin microbiota and reinforce the skin barrier function. It creates a holistic system that promotes healthy, youthful & beautiful skin. BIOME Oléoactif® balances the skin microbiota and maintains the integrity of the epidermal barrier. It exhibits moisturizing, restructuring, soothing and emollient properties. It has a unique composition of innovative active molecules.

 In vitro test on skin as well as a clinical test on cutaneous microbiota (16S rDNA sequencing) showed that proved BIOME Oléoactif® preserves the bacterial diversity and microbiota global composition of healthy skin, thus balancing and protecting the critical microbiome ecosystem.

Fensebiome™ peptide solution

INCI: Water (Aqua), Acetyl Heptapeptide-4, Caprylyl Glycol

Fensebiome™ peptide helps boost the skin’s own defense system by promoting microbiota balance, diversity and an increase in beneficial bacteria and by improving the skin immune response and the physical barrier integrity. Heptapeptide is intended to strengthen vulnerable skin by reinforcing the physical and microbial skin barrier function while helping prevent dehydration.

The ability of the peptide to modulate the skin microbiome was assessed by means of a metagenomics study. After 7 days an increase in the bacterial diversity was observed on the skin, as well as a better balance of the microbiota leading to healthier and better-protected skin. 

Antioxidants and Anti-inflammatories

Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil

Pomegranate contains high levels of conjugated fatty acids that help retain moisture in the skin by enhancing ceramide production. It has antioxidant properties and fights free radicals, stimulates collagen production, assists in wound healing and treats irritated and acne-prone skin. It is great for improving skin elasticity and keeping the skin firm. It also protects the skin against UV radiation and prevents hyperpigmentation.

Emollients (skin softeners) 

Coco Caprylate

Is a vegetable ingredient obtained from coconuts that presents a high level of biocompatibility with skin and therefore has the ability to penetrate deep and help the skin to repair itself. It acts as an emollient and provides skin with incredible softness.

Caprylic/Capric Trigylceride

Composed of fatty acids from coconut oil combined with glycerin, it acts as an emollient, helping to soften and smooth the skin's surface and helping skin retain moisture. As dehydrated skin is one of the main causes of wrinkles, the hydrating effects of capric triglyceride help to replenish lost moisture and reduce the appearance of fine lines. In addition, it can act as an antioxidant and help rebalance the skin’s microbiome.
